Writing annual report and economic plan
We worked with Sunderland City Council in 2010, editing their annual report and their long-term economic plan. These documents are read by council workers and local residents. We had to find the right balance between celebrating Sunderland’s successes and its huge potential, and dealing with the realities of the credit crunch and what it meant for the city.
We also visited Sunderland to write up a local conference on how Sunderland should deal with whatever government was formed after the general election. The one-day conference brought together councillors, business leaders, journalists and academics from the North East to help decide what Sunderland had to offer and what it could expect from the new government.
